8th March 6pm - 8pm Fulford Social Hall Public Meeting
In anticipation of Village Halls Week in mid-March, Fulford Parish Council is holding a public meeting for interested people who wish to influence or comment on developments to their Social Hall on School Lane in Fulford.
It will be on 8th March 6pm-8pm at the Social Hall.
The Social Hall is in urgent need of repairs and renovations so funding must be sought as without it the Hall will no longer be fit for purpose. It is important for the many groups and residents who can see a future in this wonderful building that it remains as a valuable community asset.
The Parish Council hopes that people will come along to the meeting to see the renovations that are being proposed, see the potential for further developments and add their ideas.
The theme of the Village Halls Week (18-24 March), organised by ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England), is to encourage and celebrate the environment with a ‘Go Green’ objective.
With this in mind, the Parish Council wants to consult with local people and encourage their ideas to help further this objective as well as listening to their views on the role of the Social Hall in the community.
There will be further discussions and meetings in the coming months so there will be plenty of opportunity for the community to be fully involved. Looking forward to seeing as many new and old Fulford residents.
