Fulford Parish Council

Fulford Parish Council currently consists of up to eleven councillors who are local volunteers elected or co-opted to represent parishioners at the first level of local government. The Parish Council aims to provide and maintain community facilities, represent parishioners’ rights and views to other authorities and to guide the development of the village to the benefit of the residents whilst preserving its historic character.

As can be seen from our minutes, typical business includes helping parishioners with local issues, often by taking up their problems with the City Council, Police or other agency, commenting on local planning applications, managing Fulford Cemetery our playing fields & village green and the Social Hall and working pro-actively on local issues such as development, flooding, traffic, recreation and the environment.

The Parish Council covers an area from Crockey Hill in the south to Broadway in the north. It is responsible for managing facilities such as Fulford Cemetery on Fordlands Road, Fulford Allotments,  Fulford Social HallFordlands Road playing field and School Lane playing field for the benefit of over 3000 residents who have made Fulford their home.
