Fulford Cemetery Grounds Update

Grounds maintenance works are ongoing at Fulford Cemetery. Whilst there is no required standard for a lawned cemetery, the team at Fulford Cemetery aims to keep the grass and weeds low wherever possible but they have been hampered in their efforts by the record-breaking rainfall levels this year.

There have been considerable delays and difficulties with the grass cutting, strimming and weed control in recent months due to the extremely wet weather conditions. The team is doing all that they can to restore the Cemetery grounds back to a more manageable condition after such prolonged periods of wet weather.

The Parish Council is monitoring the situation and hopes that visitors can bear with us during this time and be mindful that the team is dealing with exceptionally saturated ground at the Cemetery this year and they are doing their best with the conditions they’re having to work with.
