Cllr. Juliet Koprowska

Juliet joined the Parish Council in July 2019 and has been elected Chair of the Parish Council since May 2021.

Juliet is a member of the Parish Council Open Spaces Working Group, Social Hall Working Group and Fulford Climate & Ecological Emergency Working Group.

Juliet moved to the York area in 1983, to Fulford in 2012 and joined the Parish Council in 2019. She was a mental health social worker and then Senior Lecturer at the University of York until 2018. She has a strong interest in social (in)equalities, the climate emergency, and the halting of environmental destruction locally and globally. Her interests in Fulford concern air quality, enhancing green space for people and nature, and for Fulford to contribute to the City Council’s commitment to achieve zero carbon levels by 2030.

Juliet coordinates the Cleaner, Greener Fulford Group Community Group.
