Public Notices, Community Information, Clubs, Sports, Activities & Venues

Fulford has a vibrant and active community with a variety of clubs, activities, sports and events in the Social Hall, St Oswald’s Church and Library. The Community Noticeboards around the parish are available for any groups wishing to advertise their events or services and a map showing the location of the boards can be found on the link below.  If you have posters advertising events or activities, or publicising public services, the Parish Council can also publish them on the What’s On page of this website on request to the Clerk.

N.B. The noticeboards are open to the elements so any leaflets/posters etc should be protected against the weather.

Oswald the Owl Challenge Crowdfunder by St Oswald’s School Staff Member

Bring Oswald Home Crowdfunder Notice

David Norman, a dedicated staff member at St Oswald’s and a local Army veteran, is taking on an incredible challenge to run 362 kilometres from St Oswald’s to Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium to raise funds for rebuilding Oswald the Owl, the beloved school mascot. For years, Oswald the Owl stood proudly at the school entrance, symbolising wisdom, community, and service—values central to everything St Oswald’s do. Sadly, the original wooden sculpture was damaged beyond repair last year, leaving a noticeable gap in the spirit of the school community. Funds raised through this challenge will go directly to creating a new Oswald sculpture, allowing this cherished symbol to return to its rightful place.

Mr Norman’s challenge has inspired the whole school community, with pupils from St Oswald’s joining in by running laps of the school field to show their support. The collective effort is a beautiful testament to the power of community spirit.
