Fulford - A Sustainable Village
The Parish Council is committed to making the community more self-sufficient and resilient in the face of the dual challenge of climate change and resource depletion. The Parish Council looks for ways to make Fulford a more sustainable community, that is one that that meets the needs of the majority of its members and enhances their well-being without damaging the natural world or endangering the living conditions of other people, either now or in the future.
With sustainability in mind, the Parish Council has a Climate & Ecological Emergency working group to work on ways to improve the immediate environment for the people of Fulford and make a contribution to the global system. Alongside the working group, members of the Parish Council have teamed up with a number of residents to form a Cleaner Greener Fulford Group who meet on a regular basis to tackle some of the issues at a local level.
